The Cabaret-Theatre 'Letuchaia Mysh' was founded in 1908, but closed in 1920 after the theatre troupe left for an international tour and didn't come back. The theatre got a new name of 'La Chauve Souris' and successfully performed on the stages of Paris and Broadway. The Cabaret-Theatre was even visited by Charlie Chaplin and other stars of cinema and theatre. Unfortunately, the world success of Letuchaia Mysh and the names of the theatre's actors were totally unknown at home - until the Cabaret-Theatre appeared once again in Moscow in 1989. Today, it is a good place to see musicals.
