Opened its very first season in January 1990 with the staging of a play about Petrushka, a comic Russian fairy tale character. The theatre is located in a house where well-known Russian poet Sergei Esenin once lived. The idea of the theatre is to teach children not only to take but give something back as well; the theatre also helps adults to communicate with children using a common language. They try to stick to these principles in every play. The repertoire includes plays like Little Red Riding Hood and The War of Petrushka and Stepka.
