Overview
The Dance Theatre, 'Russian Souvenir', was founded in 1962. The dancers of the theatre are professors, present and former students of the Moscow State University. Some of the productions include performers from Moscow musical theatres, such as Stanislavskii and the Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre. The repertoire of the 'Russian Souvenir' theatre is very diverse; it stages ethnic and folk dances as well as modern pop dances and philosopical plays. The theater extensively tours around the world. Today, the theatre focuses on Slavic folk traditions including dances and songs.
