Overview
The Garden of the Russian Army was founded under the reign of Catherine the Great, and still retains its original 18th-century layout. This picturesque place has a lovely pond, a lake with wild ducks and geese, benches, summer and winter cafes and a modern bar. It is a good place simply for a relaxing stroll. At the far north end of the park lies the imposing Theatre of the Russian Army, built in the grand style of the Stalin era.
