The Moscow State Academic Philarmonia is the great organizer of classical music concerts. Besides presenting well-known musicians from all parts of Russia and abroad, the Philarmonia has its own symphony orchestra, musicians and singers. The Philarmonia organizes more than 2000 concerts a year including symphony and chamber orchestras, choirs, jazz bands and many more. The concerts are held at the best Moscow venues. The Moscow Philarmonia was founded in 1921. From the very beginning its goal was to promote national and foreign classical music. In 1940, the Philarmonia acquired its first and still its only concert hall - the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall.
