Cafe Incol, St Petersburg

This café is in a basement, as are many of St Petersburg's eateries. It is conveniently located almost halfway between Dvortsovyi Most (Dvortsovyi Bridge) and Vasileostrovskaia metro station. Situated next to St Petersburg State University's journalism faculty, the place is often inhabited by students. There are two main rooms - one of which is non-smoking and a smaller room with just two tables. In the larger rooms you can watch TV, although the sound is almost invariably turned down. There is occasional live music in the evenings. For a café, the menu is fairly comprehensive. There is also a good selection of wines.
