Overview
This is a three-bay bridge 57.1 meters long and 14.7 meters wide crossing the Fontanka River at Ploshchad' Lomonosova. It was originally a drawbridge with a two-winged wooden bay between two side bay-arches. The raising mechanisms were housed in granite towers designed to look like open summer-houses. In 1912-1913, the bridge was restored by engineer A.P. Pshenitskii. The wooden bay was replaced by a metal girder and the bridge's piers and vaults were reinforced. In 1915, granite obelisk lamps made by I.A. Fomin were put in place.
