Fiesta Bistro, St Petersburg

Stopping just short of the bad taste that festers around other cafes of its type, bright Fiesta is a summery beacon in this most wintry of cities. It doesn't choose to blast your ears with squeaky Russian disco either, opting instead for MTV playing just a little higher than a whisper. The service is novel with the girls at the counter speaking your order into microphones so it's picked up immediately by those listening in the kitchen. Presentation is slightly more upmarket here, with one or two more frills lurking around the plate. That said, the prices are higher than usual as well.
