The culinary section of the Temple Of Fine Arts, Annalakshmi is highly unconventional in its philosophy and approach. There are no waiters here, only housewives, doctors, teachers and technicians doubling up as the service staff. The famed Indian 'guest is God' adage is followed to the tee at Annalakshmi. The vegetarian fare, especially the curries and south Indian dishes are high on taste, well-spiced and flavorsome. The ambiance is a beautiful replication of the Indian architecture and arts; almost bearing resemblance to a temple. But what takes the cake is the restaurant's inordinately hospitable policy of 'eat as much as you want and pay as much as you want'. Now that's something to look forward to.
