Neighborhood: Marina Bay
Overview
Built in 1977-1981, the Benjamin Sheares Bridge is the most magnificent of all highway bridges and marks the birth of a world-class road network in Singapore. Named after Dr B.H. Sheares (President of Singapore, 1971-1981), it spans across Marina Bay to link the eastern and southern sections of the East Coast Parkway. A bus ride across the bridge takes you through several minutes of enchanting panorama, but there is nothing better than walking it yourself. Snap some shots while you are there and you will be able to boast your very own beautiful postcards.
