Chijmes Lei Garden Restaurant undoubtedly serves the best Cantonese food in Singapore. The menu reads like an extensive wish list of the Oriental food lover. They have flavorsome and aromatic soups with herbs thrown in for good measure. The duck soup is a house favorite. The Dim Sums, fine textured and well-stuffed are too good to be true. And so are the traditional clay pot chicken dishes, rice and the brilliantly whipped up asparagus. The place is spacious and uncluttered; there is a huge glass window which overlooks the well-manicured garden. When in Singapore, a visit to the Lei Garden is a must.
