Overview

Officially opened in 1997, this museum holds an extensive collection of artwork by celebrated local artist, Ng Eng Teng. It is the most comprehensive collection of works by a single artist in Singapore, holding over 900 sculptures, vessels, ceramic forms, Marquette, paintings, pottery and drawings accumulated over 40 years of artistic activity. A quarter of his works are exhibited here, including his most accomplished sculptures: Madonna and Child II, Torso (Rocker), Looking Ahead, amongst others. Whatever the material composition, these sculptures reflect the artist's concern with the themes of identity and belonging, basic human feelings and states of mind. Admission is free.
