Covering 39,670 square meters, this park is situated directly in front of the Jongmyo Royal Shrine. Plenty of benches, facilities and fresh-water drinking fountains are conveniently located throughout the park. Visitors can even drink from a spring where kings of the Chosun Dynasty quenched their thirst before entering the shrine hundreds of years ago. Enjoy a pleasant stroll among the trees and in the plaza of culture and art. Visitors can also view an historic statue depicting Lee Sang-jae, a Korean patriot who protested against Japanese rule in the colonial period (1910-1945). An underground parking lot boasts a 1,000-car capacity!
