Overview
Established in 1994, the War Memorial Of Korea is the biggest of its kind in the world and occupies a former army headquarters. It honors the brave civilians and martyrs who lost their lives fighting the tragic war in the Korean Peninsula, which commenced in order to settle the division of country post World War II. The eight main exhibitions - indoors and outdoors - feature over 10,000 curated artillery, ruins and relics. War memorabilia like victory records and documents, as well as weapons, ammunition, the military vessel, Turtle Ship and sculptures and statues give visitors a chilling insight into the historic war.
