Art Cafe, Chiang Mai

With its black and white floor, high ceiling, bright yellow trim, stylish wrought-iron furniture and numerous plants, this establishment is brimming with a cheerful, comfortable atmosphere. Its corner location, just across Tha Pae Gate, presents an ideal spot for people-watching, reading or writing a couple of postcards. Evenings can be quite animated. The extensive menu incorporates Italian and Mexican fare, though just about anything is available and equally good. Other features include homemade ice cream, lots of different coffees and teas, a wide range of mouth-watering desserts and a relatively long wine list.
