Huen Luang Prabang Restaurant, Chiang Mai

The restaurant at the BP Chiang Mai City Hotel is the Huen Luang Prabang; the meaning of Huen is "house" in both Lao and Lanna (northern Thai), and Luang Prabang is Chiang Mai's famed sister city in Laos. Huen Luang Prahang is a gourmet restaurant specializing in western favorites such as burgers, steaks, pastas, Thai favorites and Lanna specialty dishes. The restaurant is open all day and serves western breakfasts in the mornings. Evening diners and loungers can enjoy live music and an assortment of exotic, tropical cocktails. Thai Leo and Japanese Asahi beers are on tap, and there is a small list of red and white wines from France, Australia, South Africa and Chile. - Scott Johnson
