Spicy Bollywood, Chiang Mai

In all of the hustle and bustle of Sompet Market it’s easy to walk right by this jewel of a restaurant and not even notice it. The interior, however, is decorated to look like a giant old tree to give the place a tree-house feel. The upstairs area continues the theme with a wooden bridge and cushioned off areas for eating. Bollywood movie hits playing inside the restaurant set the Asia Minor mood, but Spicy Bollywood is not just another pretty face; the Indian menu is authentic and delicious. The vegetarian options hold nothing back. The Indian owners are friendly and eager to please. Try this place when you are ready for a break from Thai food. -Scott Johnson
