Don Battles, the affable owner, has been serving superb beef specialties for many years. The meat is barbecued over charcoal with the addition of Texas mesquite wood, thereby adding a unique flavor. There is little in the way of decorative-trimmings here, but the homely, primarily al fresco setting, is a firm favorite amongst the ex-pats who live in the vicinity. An all new menu was recently unveiled extending the number of dishes on offer to over 400. Steaks and prime rib--served with potato, salad or vegetables are still the best sellers, as well as traditional Mexican fare and sandwiches. The Georgia-style Baby Back Ribs are sumptuous too.
