Expat Guesthouse, Phuket

The Expat Guesthouse is the sister site to the larger Expat Hotel found in the middle of Patong. It's a slightly scaled-back version of the original, though still retains the same charm and polish. They serve all the bottled beers you'd expect; Singha, Chang, Leo etc, and offer friendly service. Furthermore, they have a pool table available, if you're inclined to have a game or sports events on big screen TVs for those who prefer to sit back and relax. A night in one of the rooms upstairs will only costs BHT500. It's worth to note that the bar can be a little tricky to find at first, but it's about 2 minutes walk from the local fire station as you head away from central Patong. - Martin English
