Apart from a pearl farm, this island is pretty much uninhabited. Pearls have been cultivated throughout Thailand for many years, and this farm is one of the most established in Phuket. It has only been open to the public since 1998, but has been exporting pearls to Japan for over 20 years. All visits must be booked in advance. The island is also a popular snorkeling and diving destination. Peaceful and relaxed, there are no shops or restaurants, in fact, there is not even electricity, making it a great place to get away from it all.
