On entering through the ground floor kitchen, you will be whisked past the charcoal grills, over the dishwasher and up the tight stairs, to be seated at a plastic table with families, businessmen or locals. The surroundings are cramped but not uncomfortable. Having been offered spring rolls and beer, cold rice noodles will appear, herb leaf salads will be replenished and grilled pork in sweet gravy will soon be forthcoming. Freshly crushed garlic and chilies are available if you want to spice your dish up a bit. A meal here is an experience not to be missed.
