Beach Restaurant (The), Hobart

This beachfront venue has lovely views of the Derwent River through its floor to ceiling glass and is a favorite among locals and travelers alike. On a sunny day you may sit outside in the glass enclosed alfresco area and sip a glass of wine from the extensive wine list and watch the world go by or possibly one of the regular cruise ships that make their way up the Derwent to Hobart. On weekends, their breakfasts are excellent and worth the value. Modern Australian cuisine and wood fired pizzas complete the lunch and dinner menu. Have a drink after work at the long bar or get very comfortable in one of the overstuffed couches in front of the fireplace.
