Café Fifty 8, Hobart

This venue has an outdoor area for cocktails as well as an indoor bar area. It is part of the Hotel Collins and has been decorated in an ultra modern style with chrome, glass and cream as well as colorful modern art adorning the walls. The menu is small but well chosen. Your choices may include Eggplant Canneloni, King Island Eye (a three inch thick melt in your mouth eye fillet of beef), or a Boags Wizard Smith Ale Battered market fish of the day. Finish off your meal with a house made vanilla bean bavarois. The reasonably extensive wine list includes local and international labels. This café is very centrally located and within one block of the Elizabeth Mall shopping area and two blocks from the Hobart waterfront.
