Overview
Chef and restaurateur Annie Parmentier is an avid gardener and conservationist who has opened this small cafe within a few blocks from the city-center. Many of her dishes include vegetables and herbs grown in her own garden. Her homemade soup is well known, so don’t arrive too late in the afternoon or you may not have the chance to try some. On offer recently was spinach, lemon, and rice, also mushroom and barley and the excellent Jerusalem artichoke. Of course there are freshly made sandwiches to eat in or take away and some yummy sweets such as the melt-in-your-mouth carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. This is a very popular venue and well worth a visit if you are in downtown
