Overview
Royal Hobart is 20 kilometers from the city. The course, designed by Vern Morcom, is constructed on sandy soil and natural bush land, and the fairways dogleg through gum trees, pines and acacias. Sea winds sweep across the course and the small greens are fast. There is a driving range, putting greens and a fully stocked professional shop. The original Hobart Golf Club was formed in 1901 at Sandy Bay before moving to Rosny in 1916 and finally to Seven Mile Beach in 1956. Packages including lunches and transport are available.
