Split Café Restaurant, Hobart

This cozy family-run restaurant is owned by the Croatian family of Mihelcic. The mother, Nada, is a self taught chef and former Sydney radio presenter who wanted to bring authentic Croatian fare to their adopted home. In a very short period of time, this venue has merited a well-earned reputation for good food, welcoming atmosphere and friendly family and staff. The goulash is superb with just the right amount of spice. You might also want to try the apple strudel which is homemade by a family friend. Only a ten minute drive from the Hobart central business district, this venue is certainly an excellent choice for something a little out of the ordinary. Only cash accepted.
