This locally owned business is, first and foremost, a great neighborhood bakery that also serves toasted sandwiches, homemade soup, curries, croissants. For dessert, there is a wonderful array of sweet temptations, that include some gluten free treats. Furthermore, There is also a nice range of home made jams, chutneys and Tasmanian honey. You can also stop in for a Devonshire Tea with scones, cream and jam. Moreover, there is a special treat on Thursday and Friday afternoons between 3p and 430p at Taroona Cafe, because they serve waffles with a choice of toppings. - Janice Barton

  Poor hygiene..... there were flies in the cake cabinet and when this was pointed out to the staff the response was to open the door ?? the bread is help yourself.... without any hygiene screens. the flies alone will prevent me from returning not to mention the complacent reaction from the staff. And purchasing bread that may have been handled, sneezed or coughed upon is not only off-putting but surely does not meet mandatory health requirements. A real shame as local stores in Taroona are fulfilling a need....   Read More
