Do not try asking for directions to the Botanical Hotel, people will not know what you are talking about. Ask about "The Bot" however, and you are more assured of a response, for it has earned a special position in the hearts of locals. Nestled across the street from the Royal Botanic Gardens, the pub's quiet position is complemented by a funky interior which attracts a 30- to 40-something crowd on Friday and Saturday nights. It gets quite busy, but the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. There are plenty of domestic and imported beers to sample, along with a wide range of wines and cocktails.
