    Like many of Melbourne's old theaters, Her Majesty's is not really equipped for the large scale productions expected of theater these days. However some productions, such as Chicago, actually manage to make lack of space seem like a virtue, utilizing techniques like singers performing their numbers while hanging off ladders. But the individual foibles of each grand old building in the city theater area are to be treasured. It is part of a theater atmosphere that only a few cities in the world have. Sydney would kill for it.
