Miss Marple's Tearoom, Melbourne

This tearoom is dedicated to Agatha Christie’s famous detective character: Miss Marple. From the outside, it looks every inch like the English cottage from the novels. Inside, there are English teapots and Miss Marple memorabilia and pictures everywhere. The menu is structured like a novel: first chapter (entrées), final chapter (deserts), etc. Even the waitresses are dressed to look the part. It is a very popular place but no bookings are allowed, so be prepared to show up only to be told to come back later. The menu (light meals and heavy deserts) is rather limited and on the pricey side. Devonshire scones and fingers are a must try.
