Nostralis Wholemeal Vegetarian Pizza, Melbourne

Forget pizza's reputation as junk food. Here it is not just delicious, but actually good for you. A local favorite for 18 years, Nostralis' pizzas are all attentively assembled by the owner, who closed two other outlets because he did not want to let his high standards slip. Simple, wooden surrounds provide a natural feel. Nothing too fancy to distract you from the food. The pizzas are made using 100% wholemeal flour, fresh vegetables and cheese made with vegetable rennet. The adventurous could try a vindaloo, chick pea, corn or broccoli pizza. More familiar 'Mexicana', 'margherita' and mushroom varieties are also available.
