Paris Go, Melbourne

Located on the site of Melbourne's first French restaurant, Paris Go commonly features in competitive Good Food restaurant guides. The vocal sounds of Françoise Hardy blare in the background whilst the French waiters flamboyantly elaborate on menu items. It is all too reminiscent of a traditional French Bistro hidden in some dark lane way. Popular entrées include the Andouilette braise a la moutarde (Provincial pork sausage with mustard sauce) and the Escargots Forestière (roasted mushroom cups filled with snails, topped with garlic butter). The Boeuf Bourguignon (beef casserole) is also a favorite. Licensed, with an excellent selection of French and Australian wines.
