Aki's Indian, Sydney

Sydneysiders are no strangers to a korma and a bit of naan, with a bevy of Indian eateries across the city serving up takeaway curries. But on Woolloomooloo's Finger Wharf, you'll find an Indian dining experience that's a whole new ball game. Aki's chefs serve up dishes influenced by their native Chennai, but with a distinctly modern twist. Seared scallops are served with ginger and curry leaf oil atop a bed of fresh tomatoes; while duck is slowly cooked in three extractions of coconut milk lightly spiced with cloves and green chilichilli. The view of the water isn't bad either.
