Avido Restaurant & Wine Garden, Sydney

A quick look at the decor of Oxford Street's Avido should tell you that this restaurant is aimed squarely at the hip young things of the area, with an edgy interior designed by the same team that looked after Newtown's Bloodwood. Take a seat under the light fixtures that swing from chains and tuck in to confit pork belly with lemon thyme gnocchi, or pull up a stool at the tiled bar and enjoy a share plate of duck and pickled walnut terrine. Avido is also a wine bar, meaning that those tasty share plates can also serve as the perfect accompaniment to a glass of something from the well thought out wine list.
