Overview
With burgers, hotdogs and fries so much ingrained in Australian culture, opening an American diner might seem a little superfluous. But we're very glad they did. Entering the Oxford Street restaurant, you'll find yourself in a scene straight out of the movies. The Big Rig Diner has booth and bar seating only, waited on by girls in knee socks and shorts. As you ponder the menu, the jukebox in the corner plays a corny but fun mix of tunes. Food is exactly what you'd expect (and hope for): huge burgers, macaroni and cheese and the unforgettable chili fries.
