The Hills District Historical Centre and Museum's main focus is on the early history of European settlement in the area from 1801 when Governor King established a government farm here. The Exhibits are drawn from its collection of household, farming and woodworking tools, convict bricks, furniture and clothing from this and later periods. Extensive research sources are available with files on local pioneers. Also, there is a library of books on the local region with early census books, church records and historical photographs.
