Radio Cairo , Sydney

Radio Cairo is probably most frequently discovered because of its proximity to the cinema (Cremorne's Hayden Orpheum located on nearby Military Road), but both the uniqueness and execution of the dishes here deserve a special visit. The restaurant is often listed as serving African cuisine, but it's much more than that, with Caribbean, Sri Lankan and Indian influences evident. Here you find dishes not often seen elsewhere: crocodile wings, Cajun popcorn, afro fries and the signature buzzard curry. The combination of great food, a bring-your-own policy and an atmosphere casual enough for kids means it can get a little crowded, so be sure to book ahead.
