The Sand Bar is an award-winning café on the north end of Dee Why's beachfront, taking in the spectacular visa of Dee Why beach. They serve up the most spectacular breakfasts: from humble homemade muesli, to hearty maple syrup-drenched buttermilk pancake stacks, to luxurious smoked salmon and chive scrambled eggs—though the lunch and dinner dishes are just as good. The Portuguese Espatada, skewered sirloin served dangling from a metal hook, is a specialty. The top-quality food is enhanced by a well chosen wine list and some classic (Cosmopolitan or Bellini) as well as the more inventive cocktails (Bombay Bombiggity).
