Overview
This beautiful, three-kilometers long, white sand beach on the north shore of Waiheke Island, is ideal for sunbathing, bodysurfing and just plain relaxing. Take the bus from the ferry landing if coming from Auckland, it is a 20-minute ride. Onetangi Village has a couple of friendly hotels with accommodation, meals and entertainment as well as shops and a petrol station. At the shop you can rent kayaks to play in the surf. At the far western end of Onetangi Beach, clothing is optional.
