Operating as a cinema for over 60 years, in the popular seaside suburb of Sumner, the Hollywood originally housed one large screen. Now, however, it is an intimate three-cinema multiplex. The new theaters may be small, but the Hollywood still has the aura of an old-style movie theater, rejecting the flashy qualities of the modern multiplex. Screening quality mainstream movies, with the occasional film that is a little more offbeat, this cinema is worth a visit.
