You will find a garden for all seasons set in the beautiful Akatarawa Valley. The name of this garden reveals its philosophy when Efil Doog is read backwards. Eleven acres of gardens surrounded by bush clad hills featuring magnolias, azaleas, rhododendrons and other exotic flowers, trees and shrubs dominate the scene at Efil Doog Garden of Art. Quaint sculptures by contemporary artists: both national and international, can be found throughout the gardens. An art gallery displays early New Zealand paintings and famous works by the likes of Claus Fristrom, John Steele,William Baker and others. Walk along the paths beside tranquil ponds or find a restful spot to sit and enjoy the best that nature and art have to offer. ThTimings vary seasonally. Check website for fruther details.
