Overview

The Canmore Hotel was originally built in 1890 as a hotel to provide accommodations for miners in the old days when Canmore was a mining town. This two-story building is now a bar that doubles as a venue for up-and-coming as well as established Canadian indie and rock bands. Touring bands often make a stop at Canmore on their way to other live entertainment venues. This hotel/bar along Canmore’s main street exudes Western-Canadian architecture. Their rooftop patio is open in the summer months.
