Given the city's huge popularity among Japanese tourists, it comes as no surprise that sushi and noodles are edging out the hamburger and fries combo as the fast food of choice. While Shiki doesn't serve sushi, it will fill you up with a number of other steaming Japanese staples. Paper lanterns adorn the entrance, which leads you into a small and tidy diner-style restaurant. Order at a booth in the wall, and pick it up when it is ready. In contrast to most conservative city restaurants, the background music here is of the Japanese punk variety.
