Canadian Centre for Ethnomusicology at the University of Alberta is a heaven for music scholars and researchers. The museum archives all kinds of sounds and music, including digital sound. You will be able to print documentation accompanying the archive you are listening to. There is a wealth of information about local performers with an up-to-date performance schedule. The facility is open by appointment only and is used primarily for research between serious musicians, scholars, and the worldwide community. Admission is free.
