Second only to Schwartz’s, this Montreal institution is best known for its smoked meat (a local specialty) and steaks. The restaurant has been around in one form or another since 1927, when Myer Dunn first opened this family restaurant. Burgers, hot dogs or sandwiches work here, but those in the know, come for the smoked meat or charcoal broiled steaks. Open 24 hours, this is a popular post-clubbing hangout, as are its several in-province franchises.
