Overview

The sheer diversity of talent that has performed in Montreal's largest classical venue, which seats nearly 3000 over the orchestra and three balconies, is testament to the vision Place des Arts' designers had for the complex. It is the permanent home of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, l'Opéra de Montréal and to most of Les Grand Ballets Canadiens' season, but also to touring musicals and the largest performances of the Jazz Festival; it has even seen Bruce Springsteen onstage alone with his guitar.
