Overview
Built in 1847, the Courthouse Theater boasts a magnificent stone facade and has been renovated to seat a large number of performance art patrons. The historic building is located in the epicenter of bed and breakfasts, spas and nearby wineries making it a wonderful destination for enjoying the Shaw Festival. It is one of four theaters that opens its doors to the festival from April to November featuring plays by Bernard Shaw and other works created by contemporaries of his time. Enjoy the lovely, surrounding neighborhood by walking up and down Queen Street admiring architecture, buying goods from small shops and indulging in local cuisine.
