Overview
The Drummond Hill cemetery is famously known as the site of the Battle of Lundy's Lane (just north of the cemetery). In 1814, the site witnessed the fierce battle between the Americans and the British, and was named in honor of General Gordon Drummond. A soldier's monument was erected here in 1895 and the bronze plaque with the names of the deceased was added in 1938. Lundy's Lane Historical Museum conducts tours of Drummond Hill Cemetery every weekend of October. Tours fill up quickly, so make sure you have your reservations in advance.
