Sightseeing just got a new dimension with the creation of the Niagara SkyWheel. At 175 feet (53 meters) tall, the SkyWheel affords spectacular views of the American & Horseshoe Falls. The ride in the completely enclosed gondola lasts a maximum of 12 minutes, & is most magical at night, when the city lights glitter against the skyline. Although it is open all year round, the hours of operation vary according to the season, so check before planning a visit.
