What was once the home and workshop of a carriage builder is now the place of the famed restaurant Black Thorn since 1860's. Named after a medicinal herb, the basic idea seems to be a therapeutic and fun time for guests. The interiors are well furnished with wooden tables neatly laid out and candlelight adding a welcoming glow to the place. You can dine in the front patio, the courtyard patio, the pub area or the dining room. Chef Peter Harris uses fresh, authentic ingredients and specialties include spinach and mandarin salad, house crab cakes, and sip on a cocktail or select from 15 imported beers on tap. With such amazing features for romantic dinners and people-watching; the only "black thorn" is the staff who are not very chatty.
